The Chimbacalle train station comes first in contest to name the “Seven Wonders of Quito”

New York/Quito – The Chimbacalle train station has taken first place in a contest to name the “Seven Wonders of Quito”. Nearly 14,000 people from all over Ecuador cast votes from April to July 2011 to choose their seven favorites from a list of 36 attractions in Quito. The contest took place as part of the festivities surrounding Quito’s nomination as American Capital of Culture 2011.
